Florida Trip: Naples Day 2

On Saturday we had a fun pool day at Leslie and Lindsay's rental house. The kids were little fish! They also loved the pinata! That night James & I and Lindsay & Landon enjoyed hanging out playing games and watching the kids so Grandpa & Grandma could have some time out to dinner with Lana, Leslie & John, and Jake & Lauren. The cousins loved playing and the adults loved visiting.

Grandma time!!

The Three Amigos

Sherry  made Grandma a beautiful photo book.
The great grandkids loved looking through it with her.

Love this guy right here!

Pinata time!!

Florida Trip: Naples Day 1

We arrived at Jake & Lauren's late Thursday night. We felt right at home and were so grateful for their hospitality and generosity!

Friday morning we headed out to search for seashells at the beach. The beach was heavenly and the girls loved hunting for shell after shell. Claire loved it so much she got all the way in the water! ;) (Actually she got out a little too far and a little wave got her.)

Later that evening we had a fun beach party in honor of Grandma Jones. We had a delicious dinner, the kids went on a fun treasure hunt, we shared memories of wonderful Grandma, played on the beach, and just enjoyed all the family time!

Sofia, Avri, Isabel, Londyn, Sharli, Claire, Emery, Sawyer

Treasure hunt!!

Isabel and Avri were two little peas in a pod. They had so much fun with everything we did!

Of course there was lots of sandcastle building, and mermaid tail making (for the little girls).

Florida Trip: Disney World Day 2

Again, it was soooo hard to wake up early the next morning. When we woke Emery up she said, "Are you for real? It's for real morning time?" It was so funny! We were too tired to rush off to the park, but tried to make good time. We had breakfast (our hotel had a great complimentary breakfast!!) and loaded up.

We packed in as much as we could and had another busy, but fun day in the Magic Kingdom.

Teacups!! I was not going to go on this ride considering my nausea,
but I threw caution to the wind and did it anyway!

James was a good sport and participated as one of the knights for Enchanted Tales with Belle.
It was such a great "ride", and we were all so surprised when Belle came in and the girls got to meet her! I love it when the  ridiculous wait in line is worth it!

Claire freaked out with excitement every time she saw Mickey & Minnie. She was completely mesmerized while we watched a little "play" on Cinderella's castle steps, starring Mickey & Minnie.

Avri used some of her hard-earned money to buy a Merida bow & arrow.
James gave her some lessons while we took a little break.

James really wanted to go on Splash Mountain, but the line was always SO long! It was even closed for a few hours on our first day. But, we kept watching the wait-time app and caught a great chance to go. He took Avri and Emery and they loved it! They will probably tell you it was their very favorite ride!

Emery had a great conversation with Cinderella, telling her all about her "boyfriend" Kaden.
Cinderella was quite entertained. :)

Chatting with Aurora.

Florida Trip: Disney World Day 1

After about a year of planning and excitement, the time for our Florida trip finally came!! We were all so excited (except a little maybe for me...being miserable with morning sickness). We drove to Boise and spent the night with Jon, who kindly took us to the airport super early the next morning. It was a long, long day of traveling, but we finally made it to Orlando that evening. We checked into the hotel, ate some dinner, and James took Emery and Avri to the pool.

The next morning it was painful to wake up so early, but we had to get an early start to Disney World!! The girls were soooooo excited!! We had no idea what was in store for us with the long drive just to the parking lot, followed by a trolley ride into the ticket station, and then waiting in line for quite awhile for the monorail to take us to the actual park--the Magic Kingdom! When we finally got in the park we got our Fast Passes for the day and then set out for more rides. The girls were troopers and willing to wait and explore and enjoy everything possible.

Here's a picture overload of our first day in the park:

Wizard training! Avri went to secret places all over the park that had interactive wizard training.
She loved it!

All Emery wanted to do was meet Tiana. She was so excited!!!

Horrible picture, but the Buzz Lightyear ride was a hit.

The girls really wanted to meet Anna & Elsa from Frozen, but they were only at Epcot...except for the parade! The girls were so so excited to see them!!

The girls also really wanted to see Peter Pan and Captain Hook. Thank goodness for the parade--they were able to see every character they loved!

Meeting Rapunzel!!

The girls with Snow White

Mickey's Phil Harmagic was awesome!! The girls loved the 3D and were hilarious trying to grab at everything.

She looks pretty determined!!

We were hoping to stay long enough for the fireworks show, but we were beat around 8 pm.
We rode the ferry out, grabbed dinner, and crashed!!

It was a busy, fun-filled, exciting, and exhausting day!

Pulling Teeth

Avri was dying to get her second loose tooth out. Especially since the new tooth was already growing in behind it! One night that James was home he agreed to pull it out.

First they tried the string trick....but it didn't work. It kept slipping off her tooth.

Then James pulled out his Leatherman. Seriously. He used the pliers and after a couple attempts finally got the tooth out!! Avri wrote another note to the Tooth Fairy asking to keep her tooth. The Tooth Fairy complied...unwillingly. ;)
