Happy Birthday Avri

Happy Birthday to this cutie pie who is growing up too fast. Avri loves school, reading, writing stories, playing outside, helping mom and dad, and has a growing testimony of the gospel. I often finding her reading her beloved copy of The Book of Mormon. She is an easy-going, kind girl who desires to make good choices. I sometimes forget that she's only 7, because she usually acts and talks like she's older. We sure love this girl and all she is, and is becoming. She loves to ask questions and learn new things. She loves to go to the library, and she almost always checks out informational books on nature and animals. She is a great helper and is great to help out with dishes, sweeping, etc. She still has the hardest time falling asleep at night, but is an early riser. She does have a stubborn side and can give some sass when she wants to, but overall she is just a sweetheart. She also has a very goofy side, but she reserves this for only close family members. :) She loves to pick out her outfits and do her own hair. She has mastered the ponytail and is working on braids. Although she is so "grown up" she still loves to snuggle and be mommy and daddy's little girl from time to time.

Here are her birthday questions:

Cabin Getaway

We had such a fun weekend with the Parkinsons and some other friends. We went up to the Crapo cabin to celebrate Neil's birthday. We ate, played games, went sledding, and just relaxed. The girls had a ball and it was nice to just getaway.

January Randoms

Love that these two are getting older and taking on more responsibility. :)

Now that's a girl who loves her bubble baths!

Emery introduced me to her husband today. Is that not adorable? A hat, tie, and shoes (on the wrong feet...naturally). I love this girl's creativity and imagination. She can dream up anything!

Rough-housing with Dad.

So glad she's not too big to sit on my lap for a story.
Except I'm pretty sure she was the one reading. :)

Love stumbling upon these cute moments!

Lauren and the kids made a surprise visit to Idaho and we were so excited to spend a little time with them. There wasn't much snow, but that didn't stop James from taking the girls sledding in the field by Grandma's!

New Years 2013

We were so happy the Parkinsons could come celebrate New Years with us. We played games, ate way too much food, stayed up too late, and had so much fun!

I started a new tradition of a New Years tree, and decorated it with streamers, noisemakers, confetti poppers, and balloons. The balloons were filled with candy, money, and jokes. The kids loved it!

All six kids stayed up to welcome in the New Year!! Welcome 2014--we are excited for what lies ahead!
