I am really in denial about my baby being 2! She still seems like a baby to us...and we totally admit to babying her. She's just our little JoJo and we all love her so much! Here's her two-year update:
*Claire loves her big sisters and is always trying to keep up with them. Unfortunately, she's often left out because they don't like her "messing stuff up". Someday they will all play in perfect harmony.....hahaha!!
*She gives the best smooshy kisses! She usually starts by making a "fish face" and then plants it on you.
*The way she says her words is so funny. She loves to say "Hey!", "Heeeeeeey!", and "Heeeyyy-uh!" as part of her regular vocabulary. It cracks us up! She also loves to say "Nnnnnnno!!!", "Noooo", and "Yyyyyyyyeah!" She says "bodder" for water and "Ho you" for hold me. She calls Avri "Abe" or "Abee" and Emery "Emmy" or "Boo Boo".
*Usually when you ask her where something is she says "I dunno"
*She loves to be goofy!
*She always wants me to do her hair but will not keep it in!! It looks SOOOO cute too.
*She loves to be "ow-side"!
*She has recently figured out how to unlock and open the back sliding door. She has escaped twice. Can you say panic attack?!?! This girl is trouble!! ;)
*She is FINALLY off the bottle as of a month and a half ago!! She still talks about her "ba-ba" from time to time, but is mostly happy with a sippy.
*She LOVES bath time!!
*Her favorite chore is helping close the dryer door after I've put the laundry in. She feels pretty important doing it!
*She is the biggest Daddy's Girl!! She gets soooo excited when he comes home and LOVES to do anything with Dad. She is his little shadow and prefers him over Mom, hands down!!
*She does love her Mama too though...
*She has a very expressive face--so cute!!
*Her pout is award-winning. She can cop quite an attitude.
*She hates Nursery. It's a battle every Sunday, but she is getting better (last Sunday she stayed in all 2 hours with no fuss!!). Her best trick to get out of Nursery is she tells them she has to go potty (she's not potty-trained yet), and if that doesn't work she tells them "Poopy!!" So they come find me, she's thrilled, I go to change her....and nothing! Then she freaks out when I take her back. We're making progress though!
*She's very independent
She put her coat on all by herself...upside down. ;)
*She loves to sit on the potty and has gone a couple times--I'm hoping this is a good sign for when potty training rolls around!!
*She loves to dance!
*She still doesn't have a favorite food. Her preferences always change, but overall she's a good eater.
*Speaking of eating....she's a mess!!!
*She loves to say "Ta-Da!!" When she does something she's proud of.
*Her {underbite} cheesy smiles are the best!!
*As mentioned above, Claire is trouble!! She is always into something!! My purse, the fish food, drawers, markers, the fridge...she keeps us on our toes!! And of course she thinks she's pretty clever and laughs when she knows she's in trouble.
*She loves going down the slide at the playground. Every time she gets to the bottom she says "A-den" (again). She also loves the "tings" (swings).
*She's a nightmare to put to bed. It's so frustrating. Feel free to pass along any tried and true secrets.
*She does still take a nap almost every afternoon. Thank heavens!
*She loves to sing "Popcorn Popping", "I Love to See the Temple", "I Am a Child of God", and "Jesus Wants Me For a Sunbeam"
*She also LOVES and always requests "Bop Bodda Ba" (Love Done Gone by Billy Currington)
*She often refers to herself as Claire-Claire (one of her nicknames).
*She's usually pretty shy around non-family.
*She calls all bottoms (shorts, pants, etc) "panties".
*When you ask her how old she's turning she says 3, 7, 9...never 2. We'll keep working on it.
*She loves to say "Hi Dude!!!" (Check out video below :))
